In the months leading up to our wedding (almost 2 years ago!), I was on a low carb diet. I ate around 55-80 grams of carbohydrates per day and dropped weight faster than I could have imagined. Now, I’m not a big person by any means, but these recipes are enough to satisfy even the biggest appetite.
- Bacon and eggs. Sure, this one’s a classic. But there’s a reason that it’s everyone’s go-to, low-carb breakfast. It’s delicious, easy to make, and has zero carbs per serving. With the high protein and high fat content of this yummy combination, you’re sure to stay satisfied for hours.
Cantaloupe and cottage cheese. Yes, fruit has carbs in it. But one cup of sliced cantaloupe has only 16g of carbohydrates. And the protein and calcium you’re getting from the cottage cheese is through the roof. Plus, your sweet tooth can get satisfied at the same time. It’s the perfect combination.- Low-carb tortillas with scrambled eggs, cheese, salsa and jalapenos. If you’re craving a breakfast burrito, look no further than this tasty dish. All you do is scramble the eggs with jalapeno. Put the eggs and jalapeno in the tortilla, top with cheese and salsa and you’ve got a delicious and healthy breakfast. The carb total is dependent on the tortillas you use, but when I made this, I bolused for 20g of carbohydrates.

We have not passed any of these costs to you, however now we must. The total cost of a weight loss visit with shots would go up only about $5.00 to $6.00. Now Open The 1st and 3rd Sunday of the Month
To accommodate busy lives and difficult schedules, our medically supervised weight loss program will now be open two Sundays per month. We will begin scheduling appointments on March 4th, then will resume on the first and third Sunday of the month thereafter.
Sundays are by appointment only and will require an Appointment Guarantee . Availability for existing patients will be from 9:00 to 1:30 and from 9:00 to 12:00 for new patients*.
Due to limited appointment slots and “no shows” we will require a $35.00 non refundable Appointment Guarantee prior to being scheduled. The $35.00 will be credited against your total bill on your scheduled Sunday appointment.
If you wish to buy product on Sunday call the clinic to make sure we are there; you will not need to pay an Appointment Guarantee.

Medical Weight Loss – Call us if you are struggling

One confusing thing to me, is when I make a check in call and people tell me they are frustrated because the pill is not working, or they are not losing weight fast enough. Some even say they are so frustrated they are not coming back. Some even quit the program because phentermine makes them jittery. First off, why didn’t they call and tell us they were having a problem. If you took your car to the shop for a new transmission, and a week later your car was still “acting up” you would call the mechanic and take your car back in. Weight loss is all about chemistry and hormones, if it were easy there would be no need for specialist. If you are not losing weight send us your food journal. Today a frustrated patient who thought they were doing everything right sent us a 3 day journal. Dr. Valentine went through her meds to make sure she was not taking other pills like anti depressants or steroids that cause weight gain (so does Benadryl). We then went through the journal item by item and realized she had been eating double her carb number. I sent back an analysis with solutions. The case below is about a lady frustrated because she felt hungry because the pill stopped working

Weight Loss Warriors
As a warrior in the battle against weight. You need to stock yourself with weapons for this war and be prepared. The real soldiers who protect our lives do not go to battle with just one weapon they have a backup weapon. I want you to start thinking about getting yourself a backup breakfast. That’s right a backup breakfast. With our busy lives it is sometimes hard to prepare a good low-carb breakfast, so I’ve listed a couple of things you can go out and buy to make a quick breakfast and under three minutes.
- Cornerstone Shake – This can be made in 3o sec with a hand blender (see the quick breakfast article). This shake is the tastiest medical protein shake around. Its high in protein and low carb. Our pateints who lose the most weight are on the Cornerstone Meal Replacement plan and a significant number of pateints uses shake for breakfast only.
Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls – many people who come into the weight-loss clinic are shocked to see Jimmy Dean and the light breakfast bowls on my desk. Go out and get 10 of them right now. Put half of them in your freezer at home at take the other 5 to work. Building up supply of food at work is good for when you have to run out of the house.- Jimmy Dean Omelets
Greek Yogurt (fruit Flavored) and Almonds – Make sure your protein and carbs are equal. Some brands like Yoplait and Dannon are too high in Sugar. Stonyfield Oikos, Athenos, and Kroeger brands works.- Greek Yogurt (Plain) and Almonds & Fruit
- Meal Replacement Bar - When selecting a meal replacement bar make sure its one where the protein and carbs are equal. Many people have accidentally bought high-carb “protein” bars that were for body builders. We have the Weight Sense Meal replacement bar (4 carbs) that is perfect for a quick breakfast. If you eat a meal replacement bar you must eat again in about 2 hours. If you don’t you will probably over eat at lunch or dinner.
